This project for the most part stayed completely on course with my proposal. Which I am rather surprised about. When I started my first rough draft it was hard to get the ball rolling so I thought that I might have to choose a new artifact that would perhaps be easier to write about, but once I got the first two paragraphs down I figured it out and could continue with writing the paper. Once I completed my first draft I felt good because I was able to hit the word count and I knew that now that I had something on paper I could turn it into a solid draft eventually. After meeting with Mr. Cole I was able to clearly see areas that needed improvement starting from the most basic part the title, my first draft did not have a title. This was easily fixed once Mr. Cole presented the colon concept in class. The first main thing that I revised for my second and final draft was expanding more upon my artifact in the first two paragraphs of my paper. I accomplished this by describing my artifact much more vividly. I also did a small expansion to my definition of genre by adding to it “ the journey it takes the reader on and the emotions that the reader feels.” The single biggest revision that I had to make was addressing the very off topic quote that I had thrown right in the middle of the paper. This Quote referenced some history of luxury blogs. After meeting With Mr. Cole it was decided that this needed to go, so on my second draft I completely removed that portion of the paper and replaced it with something that I think is more relevant to using my artifact to help convey my definition of genre.
